SMOK Morph 2 Kit Review-What Are The Improvements Over Its Predecessor?
Have you ever used the Morph 219 Kit by SMOK? This time we’ll be covering the Morph 2 Kit, you may also like it if you like the original Morph.
Inspired by the previous Morph 219, the SMOK Morph 2 opens up new possibilities in both design and technology. The chassis of the mod utilizes zinc alloy material to be light and durable, while the grip features flexible leather for an ergonomic hand feeling. On the control face, you will see an exquisite 0.69″ TFT display and two adjustment buttons to navigate the user interface. The screen also features a brand new layout that shows vape data in a more efficient way for instant access. Vape data such as current mode, the battery charge level, current atomizer resistance, current wattage, current power level/temperature, number of puffs, and puff time is vertically oriented for easy viewing. And, you can change the UI color theme to your liking.
The Morph 2 inherits the identical IQ-S chipset as the Morph 219, so technical capabilities are pretty much the same. This chipboard is capable of consistently producing 230W of power almost instantly and permits operation in power mode or more advanced users may prefer the three temperature control modes with either Ni, SS, or Ti atomizer heating elements. And, you may be assured that the IQ-S chipset makes everything safe, the result of integrated 8-second cutoff, atomize detection, overheat protection, short circuit protection, low battery warning, reverse polarity protection, and over-discharge protection. Power to the mod is produced by way of two 18650 batteries (not included). There’s a conveniently located Type-C USB port on the front which regenerates the batteries at a lightning-fast 2A rate to make the process as speedy as possible.
The Morph 2 is definitely an upgrade from its predecessor as it includes the heftier TFV18 Tank. Depending on the coil you use, this new atomizer has a 6.5mL or 7.5ml capability to produce the longest possible vape times without a refill. Another improvement is that the atomizer arranges the 5 braces at the bottom that are constructed from high conductive copper. This permits the efficient transfer of power from the mod to the coil and also results in superfast heating of the atomizer’s heating elements. In combination with the fast-firing chipset of the Morph 2 Mod, the vapor is said to be produced almost instantly.
The new SMOK Morph 2 Kit also has plenty of coil options, as well as an RBA head. Pre-installed in the tank, you will see a 0.33Ω TFV18 meshed coil that produces a mellow flavor at 80-140W of power. However, it is recommended for use at a 100-110W setting. But, if you are looking for a denser vapor experience, you may prefer the included 0.15Ω dual mesh coil that optimizes taste, accelerates heat and produces thick vapor clouds. It works from 80-140W, but it is preferred at 100-110W as well. There’s also a 0.33Ω RBA coil that works in the 45-80W range, but this particular head is optional, so you’ll need to buy it separately. Best of all, you can use the Morph 2 Kit with any of the coils in the TFV16 series.
